Exclamation Aquarium Salt (Freshwater tank) and Corys, Plecos, sea snail

I was told by the aquarium place that I go to that it is safe to put aquarium Salt for freshwater tanks in my tank....But I have been researching online and it says not to use this if you have plecos, corys or snails.....Is this true????I want to know b4 I would even attempt to add this to my tank....They told me they use this in all of their tanks in small doses....Someone please help....

Salt can be used to treat some diseases as long as you do water changes to remove it from the water, other wise, do not use salt.........Marine and brackish water fish need salt, but f/w fish do not.

Most corys cannot handle the salt. As Moejoe has said it can be used to cure some disease like ich and is the only time I use salt. When I do, I remove my corys and snails.
